Summary
Vortex picks up the laser scalpel he lifted from First Aid’s subspace during search and seizure and turns it between his claws. It's a nice piece of equipment, well kept, so pristinely clean that Vortex might suspect it's never been used if not for the subtle divots in the handle worn there by First Aid's fingers. The Autobots take care of their equipment.
He looks at First Aid's hands. They're resting on the table, shackled, folded one neatly over the other. His posture is relaxed, like he's simply waiting for something perfectly mundane to happen.
They catch themselves a pretty little piece of Autobot aft. Onslaught wants to know where Optimus Prime is. Vortex wants to know what makes First Aid tick.

Jazz and Prowl exchange a strange look, something that makes Megatron want to strangle them because he can’t decipher what it is. He pushes back the suspicion that they’ve caught onto his situation; it would be impossible for them to know. There is nothing different about Prime’s frame or processor from when Ratchet had scanned him during his forced berth rest. They cannot know about him.
“If you need an extended leave, don’t refrain from requesting it,” Prowl says after a small pause. “That was quite a blow to the helm you took.”
“A measly blow to the helm won’t deter me in the slightest,” Megatron snaps before he can think better. When he does think better, he reiterates to a wide-eyed Prowl, “that is, my helm is more than capable of taking a hit.”
Jazz laughs at that. It sounds strained.
“Sure,” he agrees, “yeah, sure. Hey, how many digits am I holding up?”

Brainstorm is handsome, brilliant, and undoubtedly courageous! A mech of supreme confidence, perfectly capable of giving and receiving affection—obviously. It’s just that... well, he wasn’t exactly prepared to receive it at certain moments. Specifically from his handsome-stunning-loving conjunx-to-be. He’s totally used to affection, really! He just—might need a moment (or several) to process the way Perceptor touches him like it’s nothing out of the ordinary. But eventually—once he has conquered this fluffy and weird feeling—he’ll show Perceptor who the big mech here really is. ...Any moment now.
Perhaps after a few recharges—just to be sure?(Or: A handful of times when Brainstorm found it very hard to accept love.)

Someone is stalking Shadow, but he refuses to let them intimidate them. Instead, he finds himself enjoying the thrill of being hunted. Of using the predator stalking him for his own sick pleasures.
