Summary
Christmas was a complicated time of year for Shu. While he couldn’t deny that the aesthetics of it all were appealing to a certain degree, the reality of the holiday left much to be desired. The rampant commercialization was offensive enough to his sensibilities, but it also had to be the one time of year his family tried to pretend to be a family.
