    Arthur is the perfect flatmate -- he pays his rent on time, works so much that he’s not even home half the time, and is totally okay with Merlin’s magic. Best of all, Merlin is pretty sure that Arthur has a crush on him -- that is, until he stumbles across a list of things that Arthut hates about him.

    Merlin is upset of course, but he pushes aside his feelings to focus on being a better roommate so that Arthur will renew their lease for another year. Most of the things on the list aren’t that hard to correct … so how come Arthur seems to get more and more annoyed as Merlin improves his behaviour?

    The two slowly migrated topics, going from the class Fidds had to get the assignment done for, to teachers that Ford had various complaints stacked up against, to DD&MD. At some point more of the books had been pushed to the floor, allowing them to comfortably sit on the bed without fear of broken limbs. Throughout the conversation, Ford slowly started yawning more, and keeping his eyes closed longer than necessary after blinking.

    Fiddleford was midway through a rant about a particular hog he used to have on his family’s farm, when he felt a sudden weight hit his shoulder. Looking down, he saw that Ford had fallen asleep. And was now resting his head against Fiddleford. His curls tickled against Fidds’ neck, and he could feel Ford’s warm breath as he snored lightly.
