“Your freak,” Luka begins, as Till’s face reddens at the realisation of his slip-up, “Is right there, in the sink you keep glaring daggers into,”
“Hah,” Till deadpans, “That’s funny. So funny. Wow, Ivan, you got me. You’re so funny. Quit modelling, pursue a stand-up career,” He fake laughs extra hard for emphasis.
The room stays silent. The child sneezes. It’s fucking adorable.
Ivan inexplicably turns into a five-year-old. Till deals with this better than he deals with his feelings for the child's fully grown counterpart.

“We finally meet again.”
Till’s face scrunches up like a crumpled piece of paper. His eyebrows are furrowed and up so high, his eyes squinting yet wide. And his lips curve in all directions. He’s using every single nerve to try to piece together what the fuck is happening.
He flicks his tongue at his bottom lip to wet it. Like when you lick your thumb to grip the page in a book, he’s trying to somehow grip a thought to form.
Till blinks, and then he asks an octave higher than he’s used to, “I’m sorry. Who are you?”
The pretty stranger, Till deems him. Looks at him with this blanched look. His eyes widen, which almost seems impossible with how big they already are. Like a deer in the headlights. And he looks almost sad.
A new student transfers to the small countryside; mysterious, handsome, and claiming to know Till. But Till has no memory or idea of who this stranger is, should he?

All of me, huh? Could he do that? He'd done so much in secret for so long, it felt terrifying to drag it all into the light. But for Till? For himself and the chance that this time, maybe, they could be different?
"Yeah."
And then Till looked over his shoulder, caught Ivan's gaze and held it. "Thank you. I know I'm really late in saying it. But I'm also really, really happy that I still have the chance to say it at all."
Till believed Ivan died sacrificing himself for him. Ivan believed Till died in the fiery destruction of the Alien Stage.
And neither knew that the other survived.
Eight years later, Till has settled into caring for the children he'd rescued from the Alien Stage Museum with the help of the rest of the Rebellion, while Ivan continues working to fulfill what he believes would have been Till's last wish. When they're reunited, they have the chance to say everything they should have said once upon a time and to discover the mutual love that once eluded them. But only if they can overcome all the scars that mark them.

In the sunshine that bleeds into the open dojo, something dark catches his eye. Like a raven across the sky, the dark black feathers shine in hues of purples and brown like an oil spill.
Till’s eyes catch onto a person. The slope of their nose, the way their “W” shaped mouth, pouty, cupid's bow, soft, and heart-shaped, curve slightly upwards at the corners. Accentuated by the sun, their eyes burn like coals.
Till sees Ivan.
Yeah, Till liked being alone, but with this view… I guess… This is okay.
