Summary
Guy had always been watching.
It began in the academy. Back when Guy had just barely managed to qualify to begin his shinobi career, was barely keeping up with the ninjutsu he was expected to perform, and was barely stepping away from his father’s path that many people expected him to follow.
And yet there had been Kakashi.
Kakashi, who made everything look easy. It was as if he was made for this, the way everything was effortless. He had been like the last silver glint of moonlight, captivating and gone all too quickly once he graduated the academy just within a year.
Guy would’ve been lying if he didn’t admit he had been a little jealous all those years ago. It was like Kakashi’s springtime was eternal. He was constantly getting better, growing, and blossoming.
It had been beautiful, and along with that jealousy came admiration.
