"Yeah," Satoru sighs out, relaxing a little as Suguru's hand splays out on his back, trailing up and down steadily. He tries to press himself closer, not sure if he quite wants to disappear but kind of wishing he could rest inside Suguru's ribcage like one of his curses, at least for the day. Just so he can rest.

Then Satoru Gojo had appeared in their lives, a string bean of a man, just on the cusp of adulthood, he appeared in a flurry of confusion, strawberry scented gum and broad smiles.
“Toji told me he had two girls, but he was clearly misremembering things” he’d said, before annoyingly weaselling his way into their family dynamic. He’d moved them into a nicer apartment in downtown Tokyo and would often stay out in the living room late into the night watching sappy rom-coms.
Megumi’s childhood plays out in a flurry of fights and scraped knees, school suspensions and chocolate ice cream. It’s not such an infrequent sight in their flat anymore, with Megumi sat on the bathroom counter, and Satoru gently dabbing disinfectant against his bloody and bruised knuckles. Megumi holds his tongue, eyes wet with unshed tears and Satoru hums a song or whispers stories from his own youth.
