Kyouji looks his way, raises his eyebrows, a familiar expression. “Oh, him? He’s just a stray cat I feed sometimes.”
These things are true: Mammals require air. Polar bears have black skin. Platypuses lay eggs; so do echidnas. Some snakes can asexually reproduce. Oka Satomi wants Narita Kyouji like a cat wants a nice patch of sunlight.

Summary
One would think traveling 52 years into the past would allow Harry some much desired anonymity, but unfortunately the malfunctioning Triwizard Cup spat Harry out on the quidditch pitch in the middle of a game. There's no lying about his provenance while a shiny plaque on the base of the Cup announces to everyone he is 'Harry Potter, Hogwarts Champion, 1994.'
Swept up by the ministry and sworn to secrecy by the Unspeakables, Harry is left to navigate the past on his own. Good thing his great-grandparents are willing to take him in - even if they're a little more into blood purity than Harry had expected - and Hogwarts is willing to welcome him back - even if he's a novelty to everyone as the time traveling Champion.
At least Harry will have the familiarity of Gryffindor Tower to ease his homesickness. Or he would, if the sorting hat hadn't put him in Slytherin, where he's forced to share a dorm with none other than Tom Riddle.

Percy knew that. He knew that his mother had been through a lot, and he also knew that the tale she had told him, about parents that died in plane crashes and uncles that died of cancer, was not the truth. Akaza blinks a couple of times, even if the action does nothing to save him from the tidal pull of growing doubt—which shouldn’t exist in the first place. Muzan is dead, as is every demon that is connected to him by the curse. Kamado Tanjiro’s sister has taken the medicine as well long ago, and it had worked. Akaza is effectively the only demon left. The only reason he had refused the medicine with Nezuko had been because he knew he was stronger and more useful as a demon, but now, there is no more war to fight.
He swallows. Opens his mouth. There is only one right answer to this question, and it’s—
“Maybe tomorrow, Kyojuro.”
—not that.
(Or: Akaza finally gets his chance to become human, but things aren't always as simple as they seem.)

There is a moment in between, where nothing exists but Akaza’s soft exhale, and neither of them move.
Then Kyojuro draws his sword and slashes at Akaza.
(Or: Rengoku Kyojuro tries to save everyone, he really does. But there are still moments when he falls short.

The first time Akaza meets Rengoku Kyojuro, he flees (not from Kyojuro, but from the sun) with a sword in his neck, missing his arms from elbow to hand, feeling anger and annoyance and admiration all at once.
He survives. Against all odds, Rengoku Kyojuro, battered and bruised and human, eye punched out, ribs shattered and a gaping hole in his chest, survives.
(Or: Something about being around Kyojuro keeps on bringing back unwelcome memories, from a time long-locked in the deepest depths of Akaza’s mind.)
