"I distinctly remember you practically begging me to go with you when we came here on the Antares. I always wondered about that. You mentioned them in every conversation we had for days, then when we made orbit you didn't even go."
"Una," he says in a strangled voice. "I was trying to ask you out."

"It's you," he said desperately. "The dancing, what Ruby and Ernie had, forty years from now—it's you I want it with." Reflexively, he clutched her hand. "It has been for a while."
Her eyes widened even more as she absorbed that. Her hand slackened in his, and he wasn't entirely sure she was still breathing. Just as he was about to beg her to say something, anything, she gasped. A look of terror like all the hounds of hell had just started baying crossed her face.
Pulling her fingers from his, she turned and ran off the helipad.
(Or, Ernie and Richard have a chat, which prompts Richard to say a few things to McMurphy. Set during and after the third season episode "Skylark.")

"I will protect you from the ghost rat," he said. "Being dead myself, of course, I can chivvy it out of the room if it dares show its bewhiskered face."
Ridiculous as he sounded, she was touched nonetheless. "Thomas, I..." She paused and raised an eyebrow. "Why do I feel like that's just an excuse to sleep in my bedroom?"
"Alison!" he exclaimed. She raised the other eyebrow. A sheepish smile crossed his face, and a little hesitantly, he tried out one of Julian's favorite phrases. "You say potayto, I say potahto?"

Summary
"Julian Bashir was not fine. He was so far from fine that fine was but a distant blip on the horizon. They were stuck on this planet, and he was going to have to pretend to be married to Jadzia Dax for however long it took someone from Deep Space 9 to come find them."
Gratuitous use of every possible scenario connected to the Fake Marriage trope, with FEELINGS at the end.

Summary
A collection of unrelated ficlets about Jadzia and Julian doing the unglamorous parts of science. An excuse to write them as the adorable nerds they are.

Summary
Before Kate and Doug get anywhere near Nationals, Doug has to qualify by passing the US Figure Skating Association's many skating skills tests. It's a bumpy road for both of them.
"I can do crossovers in my sleep. Why the hell do I need to take a test on them?"
"Is just formality," Anton said from the side of the ice. "You have to qualify to compete."
"Who came up with that?"
"Someone very smart, I would think," Kate said loftily. "After all, without the tests, just anybody could walk on the ice and make a fool of themselves at competitions."

Summary
Even the dead need a little help in the romance department. Trevor tries his hand at matching up two ghosts; Claire thinks he's even crazier than before.
"Afraid of what we'll find?"
"No, afraid of feeding into this delusional idea that ghosts exist, and especially that they can speak through a mass-produced children's toy."
Trevor put his fingers on the planchette and said, "Wait, I'm getting something." He started moving it frantically around the board, calling out the letters as he went. "C-L-A-I-R-E-I-S-A-P-A-R-T-Y-P-O-O-P-E-R."

Summary
"Jack Thompson, if you don't kiss me properly in the next five seconds, I believe I shall go quite mad."
For a long moment, Jack wondered if the last several minutes had all been a strange, frustrating dream that was finally taking a turn for satisfaction, but then Peggy muttered, "Do I have to do everything myself?" before she leaned forward, grabbed his collar, and kissed him.
[This time, Peggy befuddles Jack.]

"You really think it's wise to keep insulting your transportation like this?"
"Oh, forgive me. I meant to say how wonderful it is to have a big, strong man such as yourself to carry me out of this tight spot."
The best part about Peggy needing him for once was that it didn't even make her pause before she kept right on mouthing off.
