“I like you no matter how you look, Kazuha.” He can hear the smile in his friend’s voice. “Young or old, I’ll always be by your side.”
“Always?”
“ Always. ”
He knows what to expect when he looks to the ground, awareness slowly dawning on him as time continues to slowly tick away, yet it shakes him all the same. The sight of Tomo’s bloodied body is seared into his vision once more, and a hand flies to Kazuha’s mouth, muffling his startled shriek.
“ I’ll never leave you, Kazuha. ”
Tomo’s echoey voice fills his ears but his body is still as ever, lips parted slightly as his face is etched with eternal horror.
And all Kazuha can do is stare.

“I…I’m sorry, I don’t know if I trust this,” Sam spoke after a few moments, the group’s attention shifting towards him. “I mean, he’s a kid. Someone could’ve put this in his head.” The rest seemed to consider this, and Peter felt his face begin to blanche, his gut churning uncomfortably.
"I have to agree with Sam on this one,” Steve said, glancing briefly at the mentioned hero before looking over the assembled group. “Our original thought on him was ex-HYDRA, correct? We know they’re capable of heavy manipulation, and I wouldn’t put it past them to use a kid.”
"I'm not!” Peter exclaimed, eyes wide with desperation. “I swear, I…"
Choosing his words very carefully, the teen spoke softly, "I know what you saw in the wormhole, Mr. Stark." The Avengers almost immediately snapped to attention as soon as the words left his mouth, and he saw his mentor grow visibly tense in front of him. He swallowed, breaths trembling. "And we tried to beat it, sir, we really, really did, but we ran out of moves."
Peter met Tony's gaze.
“Now all we have left on the board is our king."

"How can we trust you're telling the truth?" Steve narrowed his eyes, looking the boy up and down. Peter tensed under his gaze, swallowing harshly.
"You have to trust me," he said weakly, his eyes pleading. Clint huffed, shaking his head. "He's just a kid trying to get our attention, Steve. He's probably lost or something." Peter shook his head desperately, his heart pumping wildly in his chest.

Summary
Peter was screwed. He lost his mask, the one thing preventing the world from knowing his identity. Mr. Stark was going to kill him when he found out. And not only that, Karen was linked to his mask, so he also lost his greatest form of protection and his greatest asset in battle. If he didn’t find his mask soon, he was going to be in a lot of trouble.
Letting out a frustrated sigh, Peter turned around, quickly glancing over the alley to make sure his mask wasn’t there. Not that there was much to look at, of course, there was just dirt, a few fliers hanging from the railings on the side of the building to his right, and a pigeon in front of him holding a piece of red cloth in its beak—wait.
Halting his movements, Peter looked more closely at the cloth in the pigeon’s beak, praying that it wasn’t what he thought it was.
Motherfucker.
The pigeon stole his mask.

Summary
The camper stands, and Four’s own hand immediately darts to grip the hilt of his blade, a reflection of the stranger before them. His potential opponent doesn’t unsheathe his blade, but his gaze follows Four’s movement carefully as he twists around to keep all of them out of his blind spot.
As he does so, Four finally gets a good look at the strangers front—and suddenly he feels sick to his stomach.
The silver glint he saw earlier isn’t a necklace like he thought it was.
It’s a handprint.
It sits just underneath his chin, and with the stranger directly facing him, Four gets a clear view of the way the fingers and thumb frame his jawline, of how they curl inward. The palm of the handprint is right over the windpipe, the thumb and fingers digging into the pulse points at the curve of the jaw.
It looks like… the stranger’s soulmate was… trying to strangle him.
And it’s silver. That’s… that’s Four’s color.
“Who exactly are you guys?” The camper demands, purple eyes ice cold and locked right onto Four.

Summary
Legend loved music, goddesses, half his adventures revolved around music and he loved it. Was he surprised that Time turned to him, the veteran who also knew music, and confided in him his musical back-up plan? A little, but he understood taking precautions.
He was more surprised when that precaution paid off, but its a good thing Nayru owed him one.
