Summary
He’s surprised when, as he's sitting on the beach, watching some of the other kids connect with their ilu for the first time, a shadow lands over him to come and disturb the easy blissfulness he’s managed to get himself comfortable in.
He looks up, thinking it’s either Kiri or Lo’ak. His blood freezes in his veins when he sees Neytiri looking down on him, extremely unimpressed. She purses her lips and moves around him to sit next to him. Spider feels his whole body shudder. His skin crawls as his mind is almost screaming at him to run away. She has put more distance between herself than Jake had but she is definitely sitting next to him.

The desert stretched endlessly before them, a sea of golden sand shifting beneath their feet, heated by the Alabasta sun. As they trekked through the unforgiving terrain, Ace moved with ease, the intense sun seeming to bounce off his skin rather than sink into it. The heat was nothing to him; it settled around him like an old friend. Being made of fire, he barely noticed the relentless rays, and it felt no different than a warm summer breeze.
“Oi, Luffy,” he called, his voice warm and inviting. “Why don’t you come over here?”
Luffy perked up, looking over at Ace with a moment’s hesitation before getting up and trudging over. Ace opened his arms, patting the spot beside him, and when Luffy got close enough, he gently pulled him down.
