Sometimes it feels like Grantaire is such an inspiration that Jehan is left with hundreds of things to write, to ponder or think about. Just as soon as he gets a scrap of something running through his brain, Grantaire does something else that captures his attention just so and he forgets the first thing. It’s gotten to a point that every time inspiration snakes out from Grantaire and wraps itself around him, even briefly, he puts it in a list to write about later.

The first time Grantaire and Jehan had met - they made eye contact, Grantaire gave him a ‘sup’ nod and then left with his coffee order five minutes later. It was a perfectly normal and forgettable encounter.
The second time they met was three days later and Jehan had wordlessly handed him a piece of paper, blushed as red as his hair, and walked out of the shop.

“Hey, baby.” The truthfully attractive voice started through the phone.
“Oh my god, your voice is so fucking deep dude.” Grantaire immediately said, breaking any sort of sexy tone that had been set. “It could be the voice over for National Geographic.”

The morning after Enjolras drunkenly confesses he has a crush on Grantaire, these two boys talk things through to prevent things from getting awkward.
“Hey.” Grantaire leaned on the wall, putting his weight on his shoulder.
“Hey.” He put his hands by his side but that didn’t stop him from fiddling his fingers. He opened his mouth like he wanted to say something, but closed it and fiddled more.
“We should probably talk inside.” He left the door wide open and walked inside. He didn’t look to see if he walked in but he did hear the door close softly behind him.

In other words, Enjolras is the type of drunk that cares a lot of his friends and can't be stopped from saying anything that comes to his mind. Grantaire is silently suffering the entire time.
