That wasn’t how life worked though. Relationships, even the best ones, were hard work. You have to learn to let the people you love see you at your most vulnerable. To let them know your secrets. You have to learn their boundaries. Learn how they function as a person. Respect them and their wants. As they do to yours. That’s hard. It’s hard. Balancing your expectations and needs, with theirs. Not everyone can do it, and it takes two.
It takes more than just soft words and gentle kisses. Though, that’s often a good start.

“This book I’m reading,” she began “The main character talked about sleepovers and slumber parties being key elements of her girlhood. And...” Shouko’s face flushed “I realized I never had one before. I was wondering if you had any insight on them.”
Izumi frowned “Not really, I never had a lot of female friends.” She bit her lip before an idea occurred to her “What if we had a slumber party now?”
“Huh? What do you mean?”
A sense of excitement took over Izumi. “We could have a slumber party here in the dorms. I bet the other girls would be into it. We could all sleep in the common room and do all the slumber party traditions! There’s no test coming up so we could see if they’d want to! If not all of them I could see Uraraka-chan or Ashido-chan being really into it!"
"I am interested in trying this slumber party thing. I want to experience it. Will you help me organize it?” she asked.
“Of course!” she said. “Let’s have a slumber party!”

For some reason Blackwhip decided it liked Shouto.
There had been more than a few cases of Blackwhip misbehaving. Most of which had proved to be humiliating. Up until now, Izuku was very fond of Blackwhip. It gave him excellent mobility, made for a great capture device, its uses in combat were almost limitless. Not to mention the day to day! Remote too far? Blackwhip! Forgot to close the door and already sat down? Blackwhip?
