Now, he walks before her. Sword drawn, eyes vigilant, ready to shield her from any danger, to keep her from being torn away from him once again. Zelda, truthfully, is at a loss for how to react.

the contrast between the simplicity of the description and title versus the complexity of this absolute beast of a story has me reeling‘Fifteen minutes out from the end of this story, Ratchet will be HIS medic and Ironhide and Brawn HIS grumpy infantry officers and Wheeljack HIS wacky engineer and Bumblebee HIS annoying cheery sidekick, and what, Megatron's going to kill their friends? He won't even kill Starscream for trying to murder him repeatedly. Unless they all go back to Cybertron and find Autobots oppressing Decepticons again, which they won't because Optimus, and if they did, then the Autobots on Megatron's team would stay on his side.’
Astolat’s response to a comment in page 2 should be read in full but I adore this commentary bc the story already ended on a high note but I think it’s so sweet that it didn’t take long afterwards for this to become their new dynamic.
