Reki and Langa head to Crazy Rock for a night of Halloween festivities. Reki's werewolf costume is surprisingly revealing, but is the time right for Langa to reveal a spooky secret? First they'll have to race.
Now that they are ready to skate, Langa can feel his senses awaken. Reki thrives in the suffocating throng of S but Langa feels muffled by it, the over-stimulation shutting down all but his most basic functions.
The stoplight overhead blinks red and the siren sounds to clear the track. Langa looks over to Reki, eying him with a coy, cocksure grin. His wolf's ears twitch and bob as he holds out his board, ready to start. He's such an impressive craftsman.
The light flashes green and they throw down their boards.

Reki glares at the alpha before rolling his eyes. "That question makes you sound too old to."
The alpha chuckles. "My mistake," he says. "I suppose the soda and the drawing threw me off."
Reki sighs. "Yeah, well, I'm not here to get drunk."
"Does that mean I can't buy you a drink?"
Reki frowns as he turns to look at the man properly. He's tall, dressed in a suit and a long coat, his dark hair neatly combed back apart from a few strands that are too wet from the rain to stay in place. He watches Reki with a small, irritating smirk on his lips. What's even more irritating is that despite looking like he belongs in a snobby gentleman's club rather than a basement bar, he's handsome as hell. Handsome, and vaguely familiar.
Reki is chatted up by a charming alpha at bar, unawares that the handsome stranger is none other than Adam.
As shocking as it is to realize who he let into his bed, his body, and perhaps even his heart, it's got nothing on when Reki learns what their night resulted in. Despite being too young, unmated, and terrified that Adam will find out, Reki can't make himself get rid of the pup growing inside of him.

Summary
when Reki is suddenly swept up in the tidal wave that is Langa, a freakin real life mermaid (--er merman, boy? he keeps messing that up), his life does a railslide into the ridiculous. but if the impossible is, well, possible, then letting the merdude hop on a board couldn't hurt, could it? something about Langa makes Reki absolutely ready and willing to test that theory.

In their final year of high school, Reki ropes Langa into pretending to be his boyfriend for a family wedding over the weekend. But when they’re back at school, Langa starts acting differently, then casually suggests that they keep up the act- just in case something like that comes up again. Reki agrees. It’s just for practice… right?
Reki tells himself it’s nothing. Just Langa being Langa. Just friends being friends. But the longer it goes on, the harder it gets to tell what’s real and what’s not. Torn between the excitement of something more and the fear of going too far, Reki starts to spiral.
