Casey and April have graduated high school. No more mandatory math classes, long lunch lines, and alien invasions. Eager to leave all of that behind, the two (mostly) humans decide to get an apartment together, and find jobs at a local restaurant. It's not a lot, but when they have a family of mutants to hang out with after hours, a simple life is more than welcome. But when letters addressing both of them, Leonardo, Donatello, and Karai show up, the Hamato clan can not stay in the shadows for much longer, having to brave out the world one more time, for the sake of their family.

Someone realize Casey is much less human than people realize, April has kraang powers, and various other problems that they feel like they can fix for the mutants. Whether they should be trusted in another matter.

Casey Jones does not wear insecurity well. After taking back New York from the Kraang invasion, the vigilante starts to doubt his place on the team. He's the only human, sure there's April, but she's going to be a full kunoichi before he knows it. Leaving him, where? Dead weight? After a fight with his dad, and no where else to go, Casey goes to the turtles home, getting advice from a certain rat ninja master on his self esteem issues, and his place amount mutants.

Phil loses his sons and breaks. He can barely eat or sleep, camping outside of Tubbo and Ranboo's house to make sure that nothing can get to them either. Misunderstandings turned dire, they have a chance to get Techno, Wilbur, and Tommy back, but it is not going to be easy. Then again, when is anything ever easy?OR Techno, Tommy and Wilbur die to a poorly executed prank that preformed by a god that does not really understand the full extend of mortals. Phil is allowed one chance to get them back from the underworld before Techno's deal with the Blood God dooms him to be eternally a servant of war. (Ft concerned Tubbo and Ranboo, the fact that no cage can hold the Tommy Innit, and Dream, Puffy and Hannah who are just along for the ride)

Unexpectedly, Soldier develops feelings for him along the way; but everything goes downhill once Engineer discovers it all began with a bet from the drunkard. Despite the both of them being heartbroken, Soldier wants to at least get Engineer's friendship (or more?) back by New Year’s Eve.

A campaign of sabotage against the RED mercenaries has them stand on edge as they try to figure out who or what is going after them. Spy takes the lead on the investigation, and quickly finds out that BLU isn't behind it.
In the midst of all this, Scout learns the truth about his parentage, which, as suspected, does not help.
Spy hopes this is the only mistake from his past that comes to bite him in the ass. Let sleeping dogs lie, they say. Sometimes, they wake up on their own.

Update May 26th, 2025: I am SO sorry for going MIA for an entire year. Right after i posted the last update I lost both my apartment and my job. Dw, I am safe now but it's been a tough year. Slowly working my way towards finishing this fic again. Thank you all for your support. It has meant a lot to me <3
