The clunky purple hearing aids are new, as are the sweeping, intricate patterns of black and purple ink escaping from under the rolled sleeves of his flannel, but it’s still him. Bucky could identity that soft mess of blond hair in his dreams - does, sometimes, his subconscious remembering that familiar lanky walk and off-kilter smile.
As Bucky stares he catches the belt loop of the girl’s jeans and tugs gently so she’s not in Tony’s face. She rolls her eyes but obeys with an air that suggests she’s just humouring him. A second later he turns and his eyes meet Bucky’s. His lips tilt up into a ghost of a smile, the smile Bucky’s been thinking about for the last two years.
He turns around so he doesn’t have to look.

Summary
Everything, for the rest of the night, is just natural. They naturally head back into Stiles’ room, where Stiles naturally hands Lydia a Beacon Hills lacrosse t-shirt with his name stamped onto the back. It’s natural when Lydia steals Stiles’ hairbrush and he asks her if he can help her, and he does, tracing it as gently as he can over the silky strands that are dripping water onto his plaid comforter.
And when Lydia falls asleep buried under Stiles’ duvet, folded inside of his arms, that’s the most natural thing they’ve ever done.

Jesus, it was so long ago, and what a truly fucked-up day to reconnect with a blast from his pubescent sexual confusion.
Peter attempts to get up, gets very softly pushed back down with a frown, opens his stupid mouth, and, still a lot out of it, lets this slip past his filter:

“Hey,” Derek breathes out, the stress of his day already melting as Stiles’ thumb brushes over his scruffy cheek. “What’s all this for?” he asks, glancing to the tub.
Stiles shrugs, pushing off Derek’s clothes until they pool around his ankles before tugging Derek along by his hand, guiding him into the bath. The water bites and Derek sinks in gratefully, the heat pressing around him like July.
“Because I love you,” Stiles answers, his hand pushing on Derek’s chest, forcing him to lean back. Derek allows it, keeping his head above water, the surrounding bubbles popping in his ears as he rests against the curved back. “And because you deserve it.”

He wandered down the hallway towards room 605 and rapped gently on the door, folding his hands politely in front of him and pasting on his ‘work smile.’ It was almost a smirk but not quite. He intentionally softened the expression in his eyes. When he’d started, some of the clients had said he was ‘intimidating.’ Now, though, Theo knew how to make himself seem small and non-threatening.
The entire facade fell to pieces, though, when the hotel room door swung open to reveal none other than a scruffy, exhausted looking Stiles Stilinski.
Instead of his usual introduction of, “Hi, my name is Theo, I think you were expecting me?” followed by a wink, the first words out of his mouth were, “You look like shit.”
