The rest of the Undersiders chatted among themselves, discussing their latest plan. A bank robbery of some kind. Occasionally they’d pause and glance at the empty couch cushion sat between Lisa and Rachel, waiting for it to add its thoughts. It never did, because the couch cushion was empty.
Someone handed a soda to the empty couch cushion and the can fell to the floor, clattering against the hard concrete. They apologized to nothing, and the empty couch cushion didn’t respond.
Before long, the rest of the group left. Rachel gave a stiff nod to the empty couch cushion. Brian stared for a few seconds longer at the vacant space before turning on his heel and wandering away. Lisa scooched closer to the empty air, speaking softly to it. Whatever she was trying to talk to didn’t respond. Of course it didn’t. There was nothing there.

TL;DR - Taylor triggers with a power that leaves her unmoored from reality, only able to interact with solid matter when she actively focuses on it.
This does hell on her mental state.

“Wait, why are all of the pairings with girls?” She asks, ignorantly. “Hold on, wait a second. Why is Sophia fucking Hess there?!”
And thus, the story begins.
