Summary
“I love you so much,” Donghyuck said, voice strained like he was mad about it. Like he felt the way Mark did— so tired he was about to cry, feeling so much that he couldn’t contain it anymore.
“I know,” Mark started to say, but Donghyuck shook his head, shook Mark by his shoulders.
“Like. Literally.” Donghyuck took a deep breath, then pressed forward. “Do you understand?”
Mark’s mouth was still gently parted. His gaze was immediately drawn back to the reflection of Seoul’s lights in Donghyuck’s eyes. The press of lips had been so fleeting that Mark wondered if he’d imagined it, if the stickiness left on his lips was from his own drink.
“I’m sorry,” he said.
Is it really a rejection if you don't understand what's being asked of you? Mark would like the benefit of the doubt, in this case.

Jaemin chews this over, lips pressed tight. When he answers, his voice is quiet, like he’s talking to a scared animal. “It’s not my way, Hyuck. It’s just what I know how to do. If it’s too much, just tell me. I’ll back off.”
“We tried that,” Donghyeok says. “It sucked.”
“Then what do you want?” Jaemin asks, eyes searching. “Tell me what you want.”
Donghyeok thinks: I want you to be obsessed with me. I want you to leave me alone. I want you to rub my back when I puke and fuck my brains out and never, ever let anyone else in. He stares at the red stain spreading in his bowl and can’t say any of it.
