    Summary

And it’s no different now. Because Buck is a good friend - the best friend Eddie has ever had the privilege of having. He’s been the one sure thing in his and Chris’s lives since they came to LA nearly a decade ago, and the hungry thing in Eddie’s chest that thrives off of each moment spent in proximity to him is spoiled rotten with his easy affection and loving companionship. And that’s enough. It has to be enough, because Buck doesn’t - can’t possibly - feel the same way.
    ____
or: Buck keeps trying to set him up with women, Eddie crashes out and pines his little heart out, and a night at a motel in the middle of nowhere, Texas changes everything

    Summary

When they make it back to the station, Eddie expects things to go back to normal. Clearly, he imagined something, his own guilt transpiring into something edging toward an auditory hallucination. He pushes on, shedding his gear and making his way into the kitchen. He chops up the vegetables handed to him, slicing them finely, long fingers careful with the blade, well, until—

I don’t even know how to stop staring. God, his hands. Holy shit. I wonder how many of his fingers would fit in my mouth—

“Jesus Christ,” Eddie chokes, knife slipping in his hand, almost nicking his finger. He pauses, placing the knife to the side of the chopping board. “What did you—what was that?”
Buck looks up from where he’d been staring at Eddie’s hands, catching his eye. “Huh?”

His eyes are beautiful, Buck says—or his voice does. Eddie watches, but there, right in front of him, Buck’s mouth is unmoving.

OR Eddie's forced to confront the situation at hand because he can't get Buck's voice out of his damn head.

    Summary

With a cold on the way, Eddie drinks the tea a shop owner on a call swears will cure what ails him and dreams of six other lives with one thing in common.

    Buck.

Well, Buck may have been right about that tea. He probably shouldn’t have trusted it. Cure for a cold, Eddie’s ass. Because now he’s here, caught in a dream with his full consciousness. Eddie blinks a few times, trying to wake up, but that doesn’t work.

He can control his dream but he can’t leave it, apparently. Not by his choice.

    Fuck.

    Or …?

Actually, now that Eddie thinks about it, this could be fun. Living another life, one that his dad’s traditional views would have never allowed. Not that Eddie harbored secret cheerleader dreams but who hasn’t wondered about the various paths their life could have taken?

    Summary

When Buck and Eddie get roped into a photoshoot for the friend of a friend, neither of them expect what they'll have to do.

Or what it'll cost for their relationship.

Or, the photoshoot fic that got a little angsty, then a little sexy.

    Summary

“You were drunk. I know it didn’t mean anything. Everything’s alright.”

Buck visibly winces. “That’s not — Eddie.”

There’s a suspended moment where Buck looks torn, standing on the edge of something, eyes fixed on the horizon to avoid looking at the drop, the precipitous canyon below. But then Buck, who can’t lie, who would tear his own chest open to a complete stranger on the street because the truth of him spills so loudly out of every jagged edge, sighs out:

    “It meant something.”

There’s a ringing sound somewhere in the distance, getting closer. “What are you…” Eddie trails off.

“I wasn’t — well, I was drunk. But that wasn’t what. Wasn’t why. Not entirely, or — god.” Buck shudders in a breath, steeling himself. “I have feelings for you.” He closes his eyes. “I’m so sorry.”

    ~

Buck confesses his feelings. Eddie’s straight. If he spends all his time thinking about Buck and looking at Buck and wanting to be around Buck, well, that’s just being a good friend, isn’t it? He’s being so normal about this, actually.
