Summary
Luo Binghe did not win his place at Shen Yuan's side easily. It took countless tries - countless attempts at entering an iteration of Shen Yuan's world only to find that the 'Shen Yuan' there was destined to transmigrate into a world with a different 'Luo Binghe.'
This is fine, though, because Luo Binghe has finally managed to find a Shen Yuan of his own. He's managed to get close to him, even, to form a relationship so sticky sweet that it makes Luo Binghe want to carefully cut open his chest and place Shen Yuan inside so that they might press themselves so close to each other. What Luo Binghe witnessed in the past - the death and transmigration of so many 'Shen Yuans' - is fine.
And then his Shen Yuan catches a cold.

Shen Yuan turns into a bona fide fanboy— and wins a meet and greet with his favourite idol, Luo Binghe. It turns out, he's not the only one that's excited.
Luo Binghe makes eye contact with him, and his eyes widen. He beckons over the assistant and whispers furiously to him, before looking up with a surprised expression. Shen Yuan’s brain has gone offline so he doesn’t fully process what’s happening till Luo Binghe breaks out into a wide grin and launches himself forward, sweeping Shen Yuan into a bear-hug.
Shen Yuan squawks and awkwardly wraps his hands around Luo Binghe, unsure of what is happening but entirely sure he is dreaming. Luo Binghe draws back and says, “I can’t believe we’re meeting again, Shen-ge,” and it turns out that Shen Yuan’s daydreams were not so unrealistic after all.

Luo Binghe is too warm to care; it feels like there’s a laugh coursing through his body.
“Shizun this, shizun that,” Shen Qingqiu drops his hands, and chooses to loop his arms around Luo Binghe’s shoulders instead. “What happened to you always crying because you want to call me husband?”

Brunch went south about two steps away from the front entrance of Shen Yuan’s favorite cafe; a place with free wifi, big squishy chairs, custom mimosa pitchers, and an endless avocado toast special. He arrived bright and early with his computer bag under one arm and the intention of staking out one of the solo tables in back for the rest of the morning until he’d finished his current editing project.
The project in question was the latest offering from Airplane Shooting Towards the Sky after he broke out from webnovels, so endless mimosas and carbohydrates would be necessary for Shen Yuan to make it through with his sanity and blood pressure intact. Shang Qinghua was late on his most recent draft, but the earliest chapters had been finalized so he could get started on that at least.
However, his phone pinged just as he reached the entrance, and Shen Yuan made the fatal mistake of pausing to check the message.
Shen Jiu: Too late now, but brace yourself. We’re inside. Qi-ge set us both up.
Or: that one where Shen Yuan lost his break up, but Luo Binghe is about to kill it on the rebound.
