Summary
After emerging victorious in Third Life, Grian wakes up at the start again. Time has been rewound, the game has been reset. But now, Grian is carrying the weight of a victory that feels like a loss, and he doesn’t intend to play to win again. This time, Scar has to survive, no matter the cost. If that means rewriting time, manipulating his enemies and friends both, and staining his hands with more blood than ever before? So be it.

Summary
Grian’s eyebrows fell and scrunched again, this time with confusion. “That doesn’t feel like where this night was progressing to.” Scar found it hard to keep up with the humor of the moment. Her face twitched, smiling falling.
“I just came here for you. I don’t care what that means or what we get up to.”
Grian did not take her hand. She gave it a wary look before searching the other’s face. Scar felt nausea hit her. She was losing this moment with the rest of them. “When have we ever actually gotten the chance to dance together? When will we get to do this again?” Grian didn’t respond. She glanced up at the sky and wondered how she would be punished for letting Scar back in like this. This would not go unignored. This would not be forgiven, and it was almost certainly not Grian who would face the consequences for it.
The desperation in Scar’s voice interrupted his thoughts. “Please?”
I was asked to write butch4butch Scarian angst, and who am I to deny the people what they want? Enjoy!

Summary
Scar has never been this cold. Not in the desert. It wasn’t right. Grian had enough heat to spare for both of them, and it was too much. All of Scar’s kinetic energy had found its way under Grian’s skin in tremors, leaving Scar’s body completely still. He knew he shouldn’t ask- he wouldn’t get the answer he wanted- but the words swelled between the blood on his tongue and fell out of his bruised and cracking lips.
“Scar?”
Scar did not answer.
Two times where Scar and Grian are forced to mourn alone, and the one time they aren't.

Summary
The insurmountable sound of the roof caving in, the support beams failing, and the marble decorations shattering around him seemed to stop all at once. There was nothing but silence. Cold, abrupt, threatening silence.
As quickly as it had begun, the disaster simply ceased.
“Woah,” an unknown voice chimed, echoing through the rubble. A man smiled down at him, his expression bordering somewhere between surprised and amused. “You’ve caused quite a bit of chaos here, haven’t you?”
