Summary
Jayce Talis is sent back in time to stop Viktor from ruining the future. But when Viktor persuades him to observe the commune before acting, Jayce finds himself faced with a thriving utopia—a vision of harmony and innovation built on the ideals they once shared.
As Jayce spends time in the commune, he struggles to reconcile his mission with his growing feelings, twisting logic to justify sparing the man he loves. Slowly, he becomes entangled in Viktor’s world, ultimately succumbing to his influence as both his bodyguard and consort.
Set one time cycle before the events of the canon show, this story follows a version of Jayce who chooses not to kill Viktor after being sent back by a future, grief-stricken mage Viktor.

Jayce bites his lip. He feels warm.
Viktor stumbles upon a secret in Jayce's sketchbook—pages filled with sketches of him—and Jayce panics. It doesn't go as expected.
