    When Leo first got sick, he was four years old. Splinter took him to get medicine but when he returned, Leo wasn't with him. The more Donnie asked, the angrier Splinter got. Donnie was four years old the first time Splinter hit him.

    That was ten years ago. Raph and Mikey have moved on and don't talk about Leo. Donnie has forgotten what his twin looked like, the memories beaten from him. When a new dance club opens up in the Hidden City, the brothers go to check it out. But Donnie gets overstimulated and just wants to go home; his brothers don't answer his texts and he starts to panic. Until a red eared slider comes to his aide.

    “What do you mean ‘also missing a Mikey’?” Leo asks.

    “Just like he said,” the taller Raph groans as he takes a look at the lonely pair of nun chucks in this universe’s Donnie’s hand. “Someone came and took our Mikey.”

    “And they took your’s, too,” the taller Donnie concludes. “It looks like we were too late.”

    The brothers had changed over the nearly four years they had been estranged. Their broken shards shattered by grief shifted to make something else. Something more resembling someone whole. Though Michelangelo? While the others may have been broken, the years had been most unkind to him. Michelangelo left parts of himself behind mentally and physically. Parts in which he could never get back.

    The only question is, can the brothers help him build something new where he had chipped portions of his old self away?

    Would he even want to?
