Summary
Charles Xavier is headmaster to a prestigious school for mutants. Erik Lehnsherr is a mutant terrorist. They play chess on the weekends when they're not trying to actively destroy each other's legacies (or kill the president, or go to space, or recruit various mutants into their cool kid clubs). It's unlikely, and it works, even if neither of them would ever let it slip that they have been seen with the other. Or, even if they leave a lot of things unsaid. Or kind of don't say anything at all, mostly.
It works out. It's a good place to be in, better than before. Right?
Why do they want to hang out, again?
And anyway, what is so wrong with getting tipsy and playing chess with your ex-situationship turned "We Were Literally on the News Together for Terrorism Related Incidents" arch-nemesis? A lot. There's a lot wrong with it, actually.
Charles and Erik drink, play chess, talk about their feelings (oof), and mostly, honestly, argue. There's a lot of arguing.

Summary
Charles and Erik argue, as they always do, but this one was the worst yet. Charles, deciding to drown his sorrows in drinks and sex, finds out quickly that he is already accounted for, whether he knows it or not.
Or, Charles and Erik have a fight, Charles tries to get fucked to forget about it, and Erik reminds him who he belongs to. Trans!Xavier with more historically accurate leanings.

“You’ll have to still want to hold on through what I’ll inevitably do,” says Will.
Hannibal doesn’t quite laugh, but Will hears his teeth catch wetly on what is surely a smiling lip.
“If that wasn’t the events of the last forty-eight hours or so, I’m not sure what that would be,” Hannibal says in good humor for a man recently shot and seeping unseen somewhere behind Will, never one to let Will’s pessimism stop him.
“You’ll know,” says Will, and feels dread rise constant and roaring.

Hannibal and Will are caught immediately after the fall, and Hannibal refuses to let go of Will. Will agrees to accept this and their incarceration, with one last condition.

Summary
Will opens the door and the concentrated scent of pheromones, sweat, and slick that wafts out nearly makes Hannibal fall to his knees. Confining Will to one room is arguably the worst mistake Hannibal has ever made. Maybe he should have just buried himself alive, instead of allowing himself to be manipulated by such a horrible creature.
