Summary
When Buck wakes up he’s immediately comforted by the smell of Eddie’s musky shampoo– this terrible 3-in-one that Buck refuses to recognize as real hair product– but it smells like home. His head is neatly tucked under Buck’s chin, messy hairs tickling his nose as he breathes in the scent. Eddie’s arm is haphazardly thrown across Buck’s torso, and the other man’s right leg is tangled between both of his. He wishes he could take a photo, but that would mean moving, and he absolutely refuses to give this up.
-or-
A small scene about the morning after a love confession.

Summary
Eddie looks at him for a moment, a smile forming at the corners of his mouth. “Yeah, I liked that the bathroom has a built-in shower chair, but that kitchen was pathetic, you wouldn’t have enough space for three, let alone seven of the cheeses in your famous lasagna.” Buck’s smile falters for a moment before he regains composure.
“Yeah, well–” Buck has to get out of here, has to get away before he truly imagines everything he’s about to lose. Every outing, every smile, every god damn fucking lasagna. “That was Bobby’s recipe first.” He tries to force out a laugh, but ends up coughing instead, throat tight with desperation.
-or-
Buck spirals when he finds out that Eddie is moving to Texas, and Eddie realizes that some things aren't meant to be left behind.
-or-
Just another 8x08 coda

Summary
"“I probably sent it to your mom,” Eddie says, his voice too light. Too casual for the way his heart threatens to rip right out of his chest. “In one of the letters. Back then I’d send anything she might want to see.”
Lie."
Or, Chris accidentally opens pandoras box for his dad and Eddie learns more about himself than ever before. Good things Buck is always there to help pick up the pieces...

Summary
“Ilya Rozanov,” Shane repeats slowly, letting himself taste the words. He grins. “Wow. You’re, like, a really good player. How come you’re in Canada for summer camp? Is that weird to ask? Sorry if that’s weird. I just meant-”
Shane is cut off by a hand on his mouth. He flushes.
“Too fast,” Ilya says. “My English… not good.”
“Sorry,” Shane mumbles into Ilya’s hand. Ilya grins and shakes his head, curls dancing, as he pulls his hand away.
“Is okay. Slow words. Okay?”
This year marks thirteen year Shane Hollander's third summer at Coach Marakov's elite hockey training camp. In attendance for the first time: Ilya Rozanov, visiting from Russia. Shane isn't the most sociable, and Ilya's English isn't the greatest, yet the unlikely duo soon become the best of friends.
It's just one summer, but it makes a world of difference.
