He’s falling apart, he knows this, but with ten cents in the bank and another few days to wait until his paycheck comes in, all Astarion can do is keep putting one foot in front of the other and hope he doesn’t collapse. There’s no time to think about the metaphorical hand tightening around his stomach and throat.
