{The only initial *major* break in the canon continuation (besides the obvious romantic dynamic) is that Remus was allowed to stay on as a professor at Hogwarts- he just couldn't teach Defense Against the Dark Arts. This is a creative version of canon events and follows the timeline in the books. I've tried to remain as loyal to the Harry Potter series as possible, but there are times when liberties had to be taken.}
