Summary
Castiel is eager to provide for his son as a single parent, even if it means taking in a total stranger. Like many desperate individuals seeking a paycheck, Castiel has been trying to get approved for a government program that allows him to care for man-made soldiers—those who have been discharged from the war due to their inability to continue fighting.
If approved, all Castiel would have to do is welcome the memory-wiped soldier as his mate and treat him as if he had been there all along. The soldier wouldn't remember anything except the programmed, fabricated memories of a life with Castiel...and essentially, Castiel would be playing make-believe.
However, what happens when those make-believe feelings start to become real?
