Summary
This is Aylin and Isobel's story, though there will be a little crossover with Shadowheart Begins. The work is mostly how Aylin and Isobel met and lived prior to BG3 but will catch up to game events.

When Isobel hears the sharp tap at her door, she confusedly goes to her bedroom door before realising, the sound is coming from the door that opens onto the balcony.She opens the door in her dressing gown, wiping her eyes, not comprehending in her tiredness what a visitor on the balcony means.
She gasps at the sight of Aylin, her helmet cradled under one arm, her wings tucked behind her shoulders, moonlight glinting off her silver and blue armour. Her striking, gold-lined face is filled with concern to see Isobel in tears.
“Aylin!” Isobel cries, rushing into the aasimar’s arms without thought. “Oh, I missed you!”
Aylin’s helmet crashes to the floor as she opens her arms to welcome Isobel into her embrace at long last, feeling the shape of her snug against her armour.
“My darling Isobel,” Aylin says, her voice filled with emotion that softens her warrior’s voice. “Are you unwell? Are you hurt?”

After the events of the game, Nocturne and Shadowheart correspond with each as 'S' and 'N', with occasional references to Shadowheart's partner 'F' (Florwyn). Shadowheart shares news of her cottage life, while Nocturne relays what is taking place in the Sharran religion after Viconia's death.

Summary
A 1950s Southern Gothic Horror AU surrounding Shadowheart, now known as Nightshade, where a surprise encounter with a strangely familiar girl she swears she's never met ropes her into an uneasy, whirlwind friendship. As their friendship grows, however, so do the stakes: the church-school who raised her would never approve of a relation with an outsider, especially not one as close as theirs. To boot, people around Charleston are dying, and strangely, Nightshade seems to be at the heart of it. Unable to trust her own mind, she, an old friend, and one new, are forced to solve a string of entwined murders and mysteries about Nightshade, to solve if she's the culprit, before the next victim turns out to be someone she cares about.

Shadowheart and her Dark Urge, Violet, are unmoored in memories long lost to them, traveling back and forth throughout time in a divine dream-state, and rarely if ever find themselves *awake* in the same place and time.
