Kal tilted his head as the viscera of his iris shifted, his gaze switching to x-ray vision. The man had four fractured ribs, a shattered collar bone that would never heal right and a minor head injury. His bullet proof vest and shrouding attire had saved him from far more extensive damage. And the gun he'd held to Lord Batman's mouth was lost to the rubble.
That's when he heard it. The firing of bullets. And he was more than ready to leap into action and take down the rest of the men he'd left until something caught his eye. That something would arguably have to be exceptionally significant to halt Kal from saving Bruce from potentially being shot to death.
And it was. It was one of Bruce's tracking devices. And not just any tracking device, an insectoid that came with the most advanced surveillance optics this planet and any other in a range of 2000 light years had to offer. Disguised as a dragonfly and perched on a dusty, abandoned crate. Recording.
By the time the realisation hit Kal, the firing from the other room had ceased to silence. And Kal belatedly recognised that the men's firing had been frantic.

Satoru inhaled slowly. He could read between the lines of what Shoko was saying. He wasn’t as socially inept as everyone thought he was.
What Suguru was dealing with was largely an unknown. They didn’t have a baseline for him, nor did they knew much about why the curse sent him into a rut. They didn’t know what to do. What they did know, was the best way to manage a cycle was. That ruts and heats were much safer and mild when with a partner.
Suguru had been crying for Satoru.

“Suguru what?” Shoko asked, blinking in confusion at Satoru’s clear distress.
“I know,” he wailed dramatically. “I told Suguru weeks ago that I’m an omega and I just learned that he’s thought that I was trans this entire time.” He knew he was being dramatic — it was kind of just his natural state — but uniquely he was genuinely distressed this time.
