It is common knowledge that Perihelion is an obsessive psychopath when it comes to being right, and that it is similarly obsessive over producing high-quality empirical evidence to vindicate itself (whether anyone else even cares that much or not).
It is not common knowledge that its sister has, unfortunately, also picked up this habit.
So when SecUnit disagrees with Iris over something and watches her turn around and leave without argument, it has no idea what is coming.
