Summary
Jiang Cheng is stuck- trapped, in a prison forged out of his past and his emotions, one he had been trying to escape for the past years. When he learns something that adds another one to the chains holding him down, he despairs that he may never be capable enough to escape his self-made prison on his own.
In a feeble effort to escape for just a little bit, he accidentally meets with an immortal being who offers him a deal of a lifetime.

“You’re offering to take away my emotions?” He asks, conflicted, he has always struggled with his anger, anyone who knew him knew that, but people weren’t often aware that his struggle with his anger was a result of struggling with every other emotion he has and being unable to express them properly, they weren’t aware that at this point, anger was a comforting friend.
“No,” the immortal giggles, her sound soft and melancholic but somehow grating on his ears “I can take away your feelings.”

The holder of these eyes raises one hand to pause them in their motions, seemingly uncaring around the fingers pressing down on his throat, the nails that cut into the delicate skin.
“I’ll kill you,” she promises, her breath heaving. She’s braced over him, her dark hair curtaining them both like hiding them from the sight of others, as if the universe has granted them this moment. Wen Xichen smiles up at her, his gaze alit with affection.
“I shall make you mine,” he vows in return, surging upwards and pushing her backwards. He pins her to the ground, yet it lacks any harshness, his hand braced behind her head to make sure she doesn’t collide roughly with the pavement.
