Summary
Steve knew that he wasn't the most intelligent man in the world. He was never very academically gifted. He had never found any passion or hobby that required special knowledge. He didn't have any skills that set him apart from the majority, really. Something Steve did have, however, was social skills and he knew that he was good at reading people. So, he certainly never expected to be in a situation where Robin was explaining social cues to him.

It's never easy, recovering from the trauma of a battle with the supernatural, but this time Steve has Eddie. And weed. Hopefully one of those two can help him sleep at least.

Steve Harrington is a background character in Eddie’s life, one who he only knows because it’s a small town and everyone knows everyone. Everyone has some distant connection, some oddly personal anecdote about everyone else in town.
Eddie’s connection is that he’s been slowly falling in love with the guy for years before ever getting to know the real him. When he does, it only makes it worse.

Summary
The city of Hawkins is full of secrets that most people never know.
If you go to Hellfire Ink, on the west side of town, and say a certain phrase, you can get a tattoo that's more than a tattoo. A tattoo that does something impossible. It's not legal, it's not safe, and if the powers that be who run the city from the shadows found out, you could very well wish you'd never been born.
When Eddie Munson, the respectable and obviously entirely law abiding proprietor of Hellfire Ink sees the Harrington heir, only son of the most powerful magic users in the city, standing on his doorstep, he knows that trouble can't be far behind. His intention is to stay far, far away. But even with his best intentions, he can't keep from being dragged into things beyond his control.

Eddie made a strangled disbelieving noise, expression flickering. “You are not apologizing to me right now, for like, feeling a normal way about stuff. I can’t believe you.”
Steve pushed a shaking hand through his hair. His heart rate no longer in his ears meant he felt he could at least think a little more clearly. “Maybe it was the heat. Doesn’t always have to be something messed up, right?”
Eddie gave him a placating nod. “Sure, heat exhaustion is a helluva thing.”
It had been happening a lot recently. The… forgetting. Zonking out. Whatever. He was pretty sure he was just extra exhausted, it had been a few weeks since everything but it might have just been the adrenaline or something finally wearing off. Sometimes it was like he just forgot someone was speaking, or couldn’t remember for a moment what they’d been talking about. Like blinking out of a fog maybe.
It does not get better, in fact, it actually continues to get worse.

Screamed as his flesh was torn apart, heard Master of Puppets in the distance and held back tears. Felt Max’s cold, small hand in his as she laid in the hospital bed. There are things that always happen, no matter how hard he tries: El doesn’t arrive in time. Eddie dies. Max is put in a coma.
Steve fails. They lose.
“Steve, how many loops have you been through?”
His head is nodding, and his eyes are watery, and Eddie has approached him like a spooked animal.
“I lost count.”
AKA: The one where Steve Harrington is stuck in a time loop, and Eddie Munson is really fucking hard to save, or: fuck Volume 2, these bitches are in love.
