Summary
Harry Potter really didn’t plan on living past his fated confrontation with Lord Voldemort. When the latent basilisk venom and phoenix tears in his blood started making dramatic changes to his body, he wasn’t that concerned. It’s not like he was going to live long enough for it to be a problem anyway.
Even if he had planned to live past the final battle, then he could never have guessed the struggle awaiting him on the other side, or that he’d become a magnet for those with nowhere else to go like the snarky house elf, the grumpy phoenix, the injured vampire, or the stray werewolf that showed up on their doorstep…oh, and the egg. You can’t forget the egg; that’s the most important, more than anyone or anything else on the planet. Harry will do whatever it takes…literally whatever, even light the fire and watch the world burn, all for the sake of the egg.

Summary

When he opened his eyes, sunlight streamed into a room that felt impossibly familiar. Sheets he recognized but couldn’t place. And there was Mike—sleeping beside him, arm draped over his waist, chest rising and falling in a steady, real rhythm that made Will’s own heart falter. Warm. Alive.
For a moment, Will couldn’t breathe. Dreams don’t feel like this. Dreams don’t let your heart hammer against your ribs with hope and terror at the same time.
Tentatively, he reached out. Fingers brushed against Mike’s cheek soft, impossibly alive. Mike stirred, but didn’t open his eyes. Instead, he leaned down, pressing a gentle kiss to Will’s forehead, lingering just long enough to make Will’s heart ache.

Summary
Harry Potter was very lonely. Yes, he had friends, a good job, and just finished his mastery in defense, but it was usually just him and his son all alone at night when everyone else had families and lives apart from them. When he learned by chance that he may actually have some living family, it should have been an easy decision to reach out to them. Unfortunately, nothing comes easily to Harry. Harry's biological father just had to be the most difficult person in the world to get a meeting to see, and the absolutely most suspicious when confronted with a paternity claim.
Tony Stark was very lonely. He and Pepper had recently broken up. His friends had betrayed him, and he was now forced to live with the very same people who had hurt him. He didn't think he could take one more blow and stay standing under it. Tony didn't have family; he didn't know what to do with family; too bad Tony's family wasn't sure what to do with him either, but they were going to give it a hell of a try anyway.
