It’s like they are suddenly upstairs and a window is open to let in the chilly year-end draft.
Yucheng’s gaze, this time stripped from all of its seductive undertones, is back on Meixiang. Meixiang doesn’t really have a reason to be nervous–what does he have to lose?–but he is.

Soobin wasn't sure if this was also an act to trick him to lower his defences. There was a slight pause when Taehyun seemed to be talking himself into actually surrendering and cooperating with Soobin, before his instinct seemingly won and put Soobin in favour, again. His body shifted, moving to take Soobin a fraction deeper into himself in a clear message of acceptance. Mouth fell open. Sighed. Soobin felt all the way Taehyun began to welcome him, warm walls undulating around his knuckles. Potent-smelling slick making him salivate.
A gentle hand brushed against Soobin's wrist. Taehyun busied his dainty yet nimble fingers at the front of his pants, making quick work to open them all the way and give Soobin more room, then said, "You better finish me and take your prize, then."
Soobin couldn't help it–he laughed.

Sometimes, Taehyun straight-up said he wanted to fuck. Sometimes, he wanted to play hard-to-get and duke it all out on the battle arena, first. Soobin had a feeling tonight would be more of the latter.

Summary
“Don’t move,” a voice says to his left, soft and smooth in his ears like water flowing in a river. It’s unique and familiar, it’s the first thing Blade hears. “The injuries you’ve sustained are great, moving might bring forth more pain.”
Blade cracks open his eyes and sees a wooden roof above him. He’s about to move his head to see who had spoken to him before a hand presses softly on his forehead, brushing back some hair that shifted and covered his eye.
“There are no wounds on your face,” the voice mutters, “but multiple shallow ones along the right arm, a broken leg, and a stab right below the ribs.”
There’s a pause and Blade can’t do anything but wait.
There’s a huff. “You’re lucky to have survived long enough for me to find you.”
(Or: A fantasy au where Blade wakes up injured in a cabin with no memories, and Dan Heng was the one to find him. A journey of healing, hoping, and loving.)

Summary
After Dan Heng’s father dies, he’s left in the care of Ren, a dangerous alpha tied to an organized crime syndicate called the Stellaron Hunters. Dan Heng tries to keep to himself, but Ren’s hatred for his late father threatens to consume them both. That is, until Ren’s obsession begins to extend to Dan Heng, too.
“So you’re protecting me.”
“For now.”
“Then don’t bother.” Dan Heng’s words were bitter. “You’re clearly more interested in hurting me than protecting me.”
“Don’t flatter yourself. I’m only doing what Yinyue-jun asked. That doesn’t mean I have to like you.” Ren’s lips curled into a grim smile. His sharp scent was suffocatingly thick, like a toxic miasma. “Or make it pleasant.”

Perhaps, after whatever happened to him in those two months of silence, he had found the courage to stop running – to face Blade, even when things did not go well. To roll the carpet and look underneath. Perhaps he simply did not know what he was asking for.
Whatever the reason behind such a text might have been, Blade did not know, nor did he care; all that mattered was the invitation and the fact he couldn’t refuse it. Wouldn’t refuse it.
