“Stop fidgeting, love…” Merlin mumbled into Arthur’s bare shoulder, voice thick with sleep.
Arthur winced, guilt curling in his chest. “Sorry. My back’s killing me. Don’t know why.” Before he could swallow it down, he gasped in pain.
That was enough to wake Merlin properly. He blinked, sat up a little, eyes clearer now in the dim light. “Okay, okay,” he said softly, reaching out to steady him. “Come here.”OR Arthur and Merlin are fast asleep when Arthur feels a twinge in his back. It only gets worse, tossing and turning, as Merlin tries to help him through the pain.

After saving Dandelion from the Witch Hunters, the rescue party ends up at the Rosemary and Thyme, and except for Geralt, they all have homes to go back to. So in the end it's just him and Dandelion with a bottle of wine in an empty house. But it's got a bed, and it's too late to find a room for the night. So Geralt stays.
Their conversation takes them back to years past, and times they shared on the Path. And then one thing leads to another...
