“Is that so?” Kurusu asked Goro and his silver eyes were gleaming mischievously. “Then I can’t wait to watch you fail to keep that promise.”
Akira and Goro both fight in a tournament for the hand of the princess. Neither of them seem particularly interested in her, though.

Summary
Ren has settled into a quiet, normal life teaching kindergarten. He absolutely doesn't think about the time he was a phantom thief or the glove he keeps always in his pocket. But everything changes when a student brings in a homemade book for story time. The book is all about a group of thieves, Joker, Panther, Skull, Fox, Mona, Oracle, Noir, Queen, who stop an evil king by stealing treasures from castles. Ren has to know who wrote it.
Akechi has settled into a quiet life as a philosophy professor. He doesn't think about his time as an assassin detective or the boy he tried to kill and then died for. But then he walks into a classroom to read a storybook for the class of an orphan girl he watches over and everything changes.
When two hearts reunite after years apart, things unsaid find their way to the surface.

Akechi shrugs. “My agent called. There was still interest. I need money to live. Do you expect me to get a job at 777?”
Akechi’s face is on the 777. His smile glimmers out at the world, his eyes sparkling with secrets, as if nothing could be more coyly, erotically compelling than a cheap can of iced tea. The photographer seems to have been very, very interested in the way Akechi’s long fingers in black leather gloves set off the sweet curve of his lower lip. Every time Ren works a shift he has to look at this poster for hours. And the advertising campaign is working, so he also has to look at the mini-version on the special limited edition cans of iced tea that everyone is suddenly buying.
