Summary
Steve has a desperate crush on one of the junior partners at his father’s law firm. Sure, maybe the root of the attraction is the fact that his father absolutely hates this particular junior partner, but it doesn’t hurt that the man is beautiful and charming and has an alluring edge of something dangerous. Maybe it’s not the dad-hate thing at all. Maybe Steve just really likes the way Eddie Munson scowls at his paperwork and twitches his fingers against his thigh in perfect rhythm when he is caught in a boring conversation with some dusty, old lawyer.
Whatever—either way. Steve is going to try and sleep with the guy.

“Sorry,” Steve says. “I’m sorry, I know this doesn’t make any sense to you, but can I just–”
Eddie lets him approach, this time. Lets him reach out to touch, to curl his fingers in the hem of Eddie’s shirt.
“Sorry, I know I probably sound crazy, I just––” he pulls it up, stares at Eddie’s side, and then lets out a hysterical little noise that sounds like a cross between a laugh and a sob.
“You’re ok,” Steve says.
His fingers are hot on Eddie’s skin, pressed light and shockingly reverent to the space between his hip and rib cage.
“You’re ok,” he repeats. It sounds like he’s trying to convince himself.
“Hey,” Eddie says. It comes out more breathless than he’d prefer but Steve fucking Harrington has him backed against a wall in a bathroom with his hands up Eddie’s shirt so he thinks a little lack of air is warranted. “Are you ok?”
The fingers on his abdomen flex. "No,” Steve says. His eyes are wide and fathomless and the look on his face is terrible. “No, I’m not even remotely ok.”

“Yeah. But how did you know it was more than the normal amount?”
“…the normal amount,” she repeats.
“Well, sure.” Steve scrubs a hand through his hair. “Everyone wants to kiss everyone a little bit, right? Like. How did you know it was more than the normal heterosexual amount?”
Robin cannot believe she’s going to have to say this out loud. She glances around the empty store just to make sure no one has somehow teleported in during the last two minutes.
“Steve. Steven. There is no normal heterosexual amount of wanting to kiss people of the same gender.”
He crosses his arms. “Well, that can’t be right.”

1996: ten years after Steve left Hawkins, and his dad has just opened the new music label and wants Steve to run it for him. Steve finds he has a peculiar obsession with metal artists who don't wear much except glitter (he just wants to keep the feel of the record label young, is all). He's invited wedding for a reunion, he finally sees faces he's fallen out of touch with.
Rock and roll, new wave, alternative rock shit, whatever glam metal is. Guys with big painted eyes and fluffy hair and sexual proclivities that are going to make his dad call him up and ask if it’s really a good direction for the label. Fuck the old guys, let’s rock out whatever the fuck, it’s just a good marketing line. More youth, like no one above forty, thanks, no country “I hate my wife and I hate gun laws, yahoo freedom shit”, it’s old, it’s done.
“I want something fun,” he tells Lisa. “Something young and… cool. You’re younger than me, who’s cool but underground enough that they won’t already have a label.”
“I like the Pop Top 40 same as you,” she says, pursing her lips at him. “Why don’t you just send some minions out to a student bar and grab the first man wearing glitter?”

He’s alone by the pool, sun drenched.
Everything is silent, except the buzzing of flies, Steve doesn’t know where that’s coming from, and the tick of the record player skipping even though he shouldn’t be able to hear that from here. Then both of those noises stop and he realises he didn’t know what silence was before that, how much the low background sound was filling up.

Summary
Lucas is the man of the group, he knows this. He's got to be the man, like Steve, and wear polos and khakis and come between evil and the weak and be a lady killer and a charming, funny, sweet guy. Like Steve who has started hanging out with Eddie Munson and getting piercings and wearing eyeliner and not being the man Lucas thought he was.
“Steve is that an earring?” says Dustin, at one of his highest pitches, slap bang in the middle of one of Eddie’s tirades.
Everyone pauses. Number one, you never interrupt Eddie, especially not during D&D. Number two, what? (Lucas has strong suspicions he can’t let Max ever find out about this, or she’s going to break-up with him and become a full-time Steve admirer.)
They all lean forwards.
Steve shifts slightly uncomfortably, but he looks amused. “Yeah.” He shrugs. And there it is, a single tiny silver hoop in his left ear. Lucas stares, amazed.
“You’re a guy,” says Lucas, without thinking about it.
Steve only laughs. “I am aware, Lucas, thank you.”

He watches while Steve swings a bat and throws himself in front of Demodogs and saves Mad Max (who is definitely like, maybe, really uhh, more good looking than Steve Harrington). Most of what he remembers about that night are Max’s fingers cold and clammy in his, and the wild glint in Steve’s eye, the way he moved with the bat in the fog, his low whistle echoing out across the car wrecks in the moonlight, and Max’s scream.
After that night Max mercilessly needles him about his crush on Steve Harrington.

In Miami, Eddie meets a guy called Steve. He accidentally falls in love.
Eddie hasn’t been to Miami for a long time, not since Wayne dragged him out of there and up to Indiana without so much as a glance over their shoulders.
But now here he is, trying to pretend he’s not expecting his parents to appear from around every corner, trying to fit in with his childhood friends who drink and fuck and smoke now, trying not to have breakdowns on every street corner he recognises. He’s fine. It’s weird being back in Miami though, with the same people but he doesn’t recognise them any more, with the same buildings but slightly shifted; new coats of paint and age and new shop signs and Eddie doesn’t remember that street being so far and — and the world has gone on without Eddie, he supposes. It still smells the same though, still catches in his throat like he’s going to be late for dinner with his parents, still tastes like home even if he doesn’t want it to.

“Oh, you’re kidding, I love that book,” says Steve Harrington.
Eddie wonders, for about half a second, if he’s somehow fallen into a different dimension. He stares down at the battered copy of 'The Silmarillion' just in case he’s accidentally been reading like… whatever jocks read, a basketball like — handbook, or whatever. He isn’t. It’s still 'The Silmarillion'. Eddie looks up at Steve Harrington, who is standing at the bottom of the stairs Eddie is sitting on, sunlight in his hair, sneakers shifting awkwardly on the tarmac of the school yard. “Uh-huh,” Eddie says, sort of dumbly.

So—yeah. The thirst trap is a flop. Osamu didn't even notice Suna's immaculate six-pack, and even if Osamu hadn't slid in his DMs quite in the way Komori had promised he would, he could've at least appreciated the view instead of fixating on the sashimi takeout. Suna tells himself to just take the L and move on.
But—admittedly—Suna finds that he can't. Because Osamu's hot, and whatever he was doing to Suna in his sex dream was hot, and Suna knows that he shouldn't be having thoughts like this about the guy who has been his best friend for over half his life. As much as he knows he should feel guilty about it, he wants to indulge in it, just a little more.

The thing is, Bokuto, in his entirety, is not subtle at all. From the outside-in, from head to toe, from mind to heart to soul. He is well-aware of his personality, that he was born like this – loud, intense, passionate, excessive, and bold. Which means it’s even worse when it comes to his crush on Akaashi.
Bokuto asks Kuroo for advice on how to express his year-long feelings towards Akaashi. Kuroo advises him to subtly flirt with his best friend through the five love languages – and Bokuto is very, very bad at subtle.
Good thing Akaashi's love language is Bokuto Koutarou.
