Everything hurt. Oh god, why did everything hurt so much?! His chest, his head, his arms, his legs, his eyes. They all stung and ached with the knowledge that the people he lived and worked with wanted nothing to do with him. His limbs shouted at him just like they did, screaming that he was useless, that Thomas and everyone else would be better off without him. He wasn't an emotion. He was just a condition.
Breathing unsteadily, Virgil slowly unraveled himself from the tight ball he had formed to instead reach for the small metal object on the bathroom floor. It glinted in the white light as he brought it closer. A thin, grim smile stretched across his face as he stared at it. Okay. It's time.

“W-What do you- I mean can I- are you here to rob us?” The person managed to stammer out.
Siren snorted. “No. I’m just here to order some food.”
“Wh-What about him?” The cashier asked, glancing at Tommy. “Did you- did you kidnap him?”
“I mean… yeah, let’s go with that in case this ends up on the news,” Siren shrugged, looking back at Tommy. “I kidnapped you, right?”
“Yeah, sure,” Tommy agreed, knowing that if they said he was kidnapped, it would keep people from getting suspicious of why he was seen in public with Siren. “Anyway, can I get the chicken nuggets happy meal, with a coke?”
or, how Tommy—who is not a hero, or a villain, or even a vigilante—saves the life of one of L'Manberg's most feared supervillains, and accidentally ends up becoming the resident doctor for every supervillain in town (and maybe gets a family along the way too).

Will tried to swallow down the last of his fear, but his throat felt like sandpaper.
“Take me.”
Those milky eyes fixed on him, and a warped brow lifted, as if asking him to repeat himself.
Even though the cold seeped into him, like he was drifting backwards into a freezer, Will didn’t take the way out.
“Take me,” he repeated, his voice still shaky, but he held Vecna’s gaze. “Take me instead of Holly. I’ll come to you. I won’t fight. Just finish it already.”
Vecna was silent for a long, agonizing moment, but then, a smile curled across his twisted face.
“Deal.”---
Will offers himself to Vecna in exchange for Holly’s safety.

A body that might just be Upside Down sludge and leftover vines pretending to be human. Maybe he was a zombie like those kids at school loved to chant at him. A real creature of the night.
A wolf in sheep’s clothing — except he hadn’t even bothered to put the wool on properly. Everyone seemed to see the monster seeping through.
OR: In which Will Byers and Mike Wheeler have been sharing a room for 18 months due to the Hawkins Quarantine. They drifted apart when Will moved to Lenora but they've been working their way back to friendship, or maybe more.
