“Yeah,” Robin says. “My mom hated it. I think she still blames the diner for ruining all our lives.”
Steve furrows his brow, thinking. Something is starting to sound eerily familiar, but he can’t quite put his finger on it.
“Here?” he asks, straining his mind in a bid to figure out why this information doesn’t feel new.
“You might’ve known it, it was pretty popular,” she says, and that’s when his blood runs cold.
Steve learns that Robin's dad is dead. Then he finds out just who her father was. Then, worst of all, he finds out she doesn't know the truth of his death.

Three years later, he meets Sally Jackson. A year after that, he meets Percy Jackson. And for those weeks every summer over the next decade, life is a little less quiet - a little less boring.
As time passes, Jim worries that Sally's still waiting for Percy's dad to come back; he worries that Percy's been expelled over and over again. He worries that weird stuff constantly seems to happen around Percy Jackson. Because Jim knows all too well how life treats kids like Percy.

Summary
“What the—” Urbain paused, mouth gaping, as he assessed the situation that greeted him. The antique furniture that AZ had accumulated for the hotel’s quaint lobby had all been pushed against the walls, leaving the square, carpeted patch on the little nook bare, save for two mattresses that materialized out of nowhere, an impressive pillow fort that looked enticing to his spent body, and… “This is a surprise. Why are you guys still up this late?”
Three heads popped out beneath the structural duvet that served as their ‘tent’, and Urbain was struck, then, by just how badly he missed coming back home to their gleeful, brilliant joy.
Or: inheriting the title of a multi-millionaire company CEO was no easy feat for any young adult, lest of all for Urbain, and his tendency to take on bigger risks for the sake of helping Lumiose City. A random decision in the middle of the night to revisit Hotel Z was what the young man needed, to regain his strength back.
