    Aizawa Shouta’s worst nightmare has come to life.

    The Problem Child has just been hired by Nedzu as a TA.

    You’re 20, right?” Aizawa-sensei asks out of the blue and Izuku blinks up at the man in confusion.

    “Uh, yes...” he says cautiously, and then tilts his head curiously. This is the first time Aizawa-sensei has ever personally tracked Izuku down in his tiny office, instead of texting, sending Hizashi, or using his preferred method of yelling “Problem Child” until Izuku appears like Blood Mary.

    “I swear Koko-”

    “Kakucho, what am I supposed to do? He specifically instructed me to not interfere.”

    There are several reasons for Takemichi's irritation right now. One, he left the comfort of his bed to accommodate a request. Two, it had been fifteen minutes, and they still had not received their orders. Three, the man sitting across from him keeps talking about irrelevant topics that do not intrigue him.

    He's agitated and hungry. Not a good pair.

    Takemichi is a part of Bonten. Their second in command.

    That doesn’t stop them from undermining him though. Always thinking they can walk over him because of his calm and neutral nature, but that’s okay; just because he’s smiling doesn’t mean he likes them.

    He was an almost-vigilante.

    Duh.

    OR: Izuku is a very oblivious analytical genius, Nedzu takes notice, and canon gets shot out back, repeatedly.

    “Does Anon work for you?”

    “Why are you trying to give me a villain name?”

    Izuku scoffed. “That’s not a villain name. Anon is short for anonymous.”

    “But I don’t want a name.”

    “And I don’t want to be kidnapped and sold off to a group that hates me, but we can’t all get what we want from life.” Izuku placed his hand on his hip.

    Anon looked genuinely upset at the dig. “I don’t see why this needs to be personal.”

    “The…kidnapping?” Izuku squinted his eyes at Anon.

    Anon wrinkled his nose. “It’s not technically kidnapping.”

    Izuku hummed. “I guess you’re right. Technically, people call this human trafficking.”

    “My people call it bounty hunting.” Anon defended himself.

    “...Does that sound any better to you?” Izuku asked.

     

    Hawks cracked a smirk and walked further into the room. “I knew I liked you for a reason.”

    “We’ve never met before.”

    “You know,” Nedzu started off lightly. Izuku looked towards him, nearly panicking when he saw the size of Nedzu’s grin. “We weren’t expecting your phone to be bouncing around so much as it did.” Izuku spluttered. “Ah, don’t worry, Midoriya-kun. It didn’t take longer than a day to pin down.”

    Izuku calmed down a bit, but not completely. He cringed when the detective walked further into the room, nodding at Nedzu before turning his attention towards Izuku. He seemed to be looking at Izuku like he wanted answers, but knew for a fact the answers would only cause a migraine.

    The detective sighed and Izuku hunched his shoulders up. Oh, that sigh never meant anything good. “So, you’re Mazoku?”

    Izuku looked around the room, chuckling nervously. “I- uh, I mean, does that question really need answered right now?”

    He raised an eyebrow. “For most people that would be a simple yes or no question.”

    Izuku coughed. “Ahm, right. You are right. Unfortunately,” He tapped the nurse’s button near his thumb. “Since I just woke up from a coma, I’m not sure I’m up for this right now.”

    Hawks chuckled and Izuku fought the very strong and violent urge to knock the man out with a pillow. For god's sake, even Nedzu looked amused. Izuku needed to be taken seriously right now! He was in front of the ops!

    “A simple yes or no doesn’t take much brain power, Midoriya-kun. I’m sure you understand.” Mr. Overcoat pushed.

    Izuku shrugged, pressing the nurses button a few dozen more times. “I might be brain dead.”

    Nedzu cleared his throat. “Midoriya-kun, I’m certain we could work something out with Detective Tsukauchi here, if you are, by some chance, the vigilante Mazoku.”

    Izuku eyed Nedzu suspiciously, but huffed. “Fine.”

    “Fine?”

    “Maybe.” Izuku conceded. “What happens if I am a vigilante?”

    “We talk about what comes next for you. Probably some community service, which I’m positive you could complete at UA.” Tsukauchi assured.

    Izuku frowned. “But, why would I go through community service?”

    “You understand vigilantism is a crime, yes?”

    “Well, I’m quirkless, so I can’t be a vigilante even if I was Mazoku, which I still haven’t confirmed.” Izuku pointed out.

    Tsukauchi looked at him then. “Midoriya-kun, you can’t honestly believe that Mazoku hasn’t committed any crimes. Right?”

    Izuku blinked. “But, I’m quirkless.”

    “That’s not a get-out-of-jail free card, kid.” Tsukauchi groaned.

     

    No one could convince Izuku that god wasn’t dead. He dropped his head back on the pillow, squeezing his eyes shut and hoping that he’d miraculously be knocked back into a coma.

    “I can’t believe I just got back from the dead and I’m expected to go through it again.” Izuku pouted.

    Izuku heard All Might chuckle as Maijima sighed.

    “I feel ya kid.” Hawks agreed.
