Summary
Based on race to the edge finale except Viggo survives and now he's living on the edge. Hiccup and Viggo have obvious tension and Astrid's jealous. They become a power couple - former chief and heir. Now the dragon hunters have to face the dragon riders but now that Viggo and Hiccup are a couple and Viggo's left, the dragon hunters are coming full force and Viggo needs to protect his new allies and redeem his past. The undeniable chemistry ignites after Viggo's sacrificed himself and they continue to find themselves in precarious situations.

Summary
After seeing Astrid draw a surprisingly accurate picture of Stormfly and Garff in the sand, the Thorston twins decide to ask Astrid to capture their likeness. But accosting the dangerous Viking seems a better idea than asking nicely, so they steal Hiccup’s art supplies in preparation. The only problem is that it’s not Hiccup’s, and the mix up results in a rather surprising reveal of Astrid’s inner feelings.

Summary
After the dragons leave for the Hidden World, Hiccup is left to grapple with the fallout as the rest of New Berk begins to rebuild and move on. But Hiccup just can't seem to move on like the rest of them. As Chief, he needs to put on a brave face and lead by example, but his grief threatens to consume him and ruin everything he has worked for. After an argument ends badly with Astrid, he isn't sure if he will be able to pull himself together in order to win her back. In order to move forward, Hiccup must come to terms with who he is without Toothless, and how to protect his people without the might of dragons behind him.
~~~A post-Hidden World Fic that explains how HIccup and Astrid got to the boat to see Toothless again. This is a mature version of the characters and story with mentions of suicidal ideation, depression, grief, violence, war, and sexual content, so proceed with caution. None of the original HTTYD characters are mine, but I do have some original characters that I have added to the story. Any similarities to other stories or characters are completely coincidental.

If one were looking at any of our previous Watchers they would find that the bright light never went out. One second the Watchers were in their places, the next they were on the floor groaning in pain. After all, Shadow did say that time was stopped, even though she didn't mention the hard landing. Maybe it was the fact all the Watchers jumped out of their seats, literally, that they fell flat on their faces. That wasn't mentioned before? Oh well, Shadow was simply in a rush to get everyone out before they themselves got mobbed. It should certainly be entertaining to see where our watchers go and what they do once they get off the floor and simply check the sky.(I do not own the HTTYD franchise.)

"Exile still seems the best option, Stoick..."
Stoick should have known better. While he didn't know much about his son-especially now-he knew the boy was clever. It should have been no surprise when a guard burst into the Council Meeting and revealed that Hiccup had escaped the cell Stoick put him in...hours after the boy was revealed to have saddled a dragon.
Hiccup is gone, and so is the beast.
They search, but do not find him. Berk falls asleep one night and awakens in the Great Hall, where the torches come to life and cast an image of their isle on the wall, from which floats Hiccup's voice, years younger.
AKA, Hiccup forfeited the final challenge, leaving Astrid with the right to kill the Nightmare. Story picks up in the Race to the Edge era, except Berk never learned the truth of dragons, no one knows how Hiccup really lost his leg, and stories of a hooded 'vigilante' riding a Night Fury have been long whispered...and Berk will see it all unfold.
