The loud sounds of multiple teenagers in a room banging drums and making as much chaos as possible while the band directors sighed in disappointment is not something Tommy thought he would miss. But he did.
Ever since quarantine had started, his competitive Winter DrumLine season with his fellow band mates had been cancelled. He hadn’t been in the Drumline for as long as some of the others who had travelled to compete in Nationals, so when the news came out he just stood there and offered comfort to the ones crying. Now, just several months later with no rehearsals, he started to feel what the veterans of the band must have felt in that moment.

Makoto started to breathe heavier and heavier as all of the blame started going towards him. He whips his head back at Kirigiri and watches as she turns his head away from him. He turns to the others and sees that they all had doubt written in their eyes. Makoto turns to Touko and sees that she had tears in her eyes. Makoto winces and turns away from her.
What the fuck is up with this trial? Mako says from the back of Makoto’s mind. Makoto winces and rubs his head. As the arguing goes back and forth, he watches as his friend’s start to doubt Makoto even more. He glances back at Touko and sees that she is muttering to herself. Makoto sighs to himself and looks down at his hands.

Summary
The first thing that Izuku registers is the bright light. He winces and covers his face with his arm. He blinks blearily and looks at his arm. He feels a really familiar fabric. He tilts his head down until he is looking at his chest and blinks a few more times. As his vision clears, he realizes that he’s looking down at his UA uniform.
UA? Izuku thinks. He hasn’t been in the school, much less the uniform in years. Maybe even a decade. He stands up and stretches his arms, the uniform rustling as he does so. He looks around and sees that he’s near a familiar hallway he always went through. He smiles and starts to head that way.
He doesn't know what he’s doing here so maybe he’ll go try and find some familiar faces. As he walks down the hallway, he notices that there on the walls were paintings he had never seen before. He walks closer to examine them.

He looks up to see Nedzu in all of his furry form. “Well that was not what I expected.” Izuku flushes and immediately bows. “Good morning Principal Nedzu!” Nedzu chuckles.
Izuku straightens up when he hears Nedzu chuckle. “‘Now, seeing that you’re in a graduation gown and a UA one at that, I’m assuming you’re from another time.” Izuku furrows his eyebrows.
“What exactly is the year Nedzu?” Nedzu shrugs. “Oh, it’s 2XXX.” Izuku’s jaw drops. It was the year he was born. Izuku blinks a few more times before looking around back and forth.
“This isn’t some hidden test for graduation right? Aizawa-sensei would do something like that.” Nedzu chuckles. “I don’t know who this Aizawa-sensei is, but I assure you that this is no test.”
