He barely resisted the urge to lean down and softly peck one of the lashes, neck straining a bit at the awkward position. The joy in the opened eyes paired with a stretch of a smile had him forgetting all about it. Never would he ever get tired of seeing the shade of amber, gleaming underneath the bright sky, only slightly getting covered by stray blond hairs because of the wind. Saitama chose to relieve the orbs from that with a palm pushing back the bangs and goddamn he’ll never get tired of those eyes.
“Wanna play a game?” Saitama asked. A tilted head was the reply. “Eye Spy. Wait— or, is it ‘I Spy’?”
“You said the same thing twice, Sensei.”

Saitama freezes. Steaming ramen noodles hanging from his fork, swaying a tad bit mid-air before graciously plopping back into its plastic cup. Blobs of soup bounce from the impact and a tiny speck paints his chin.
He blinks and looks at his right, where the first year is slowly sipping from a thermos, as if the tranquil silence between them had persisted throughout their lunch period together. But it hadn’t. Saitama was sure of that, because he heard something. Something he’s sure was positively, absolutely, one-hundred-percently

After the events of the stage play, Daisuke comes to the conclusion that Haru is already in love with someone. This, of course, happens right after Daisuke finally acknowledges that he’s in love with Haru.There is only one solution if he wants to ensure their partnership survives: to swallow his feelings, and pine away from a safe distance.
Too bad Haru doesn’t seem to agree with that approach.
(Or: a quiet evening on the rooftop of the MCPTF, a shooting star, and a confession that’s been in the making for too long.)
