Summary
Kaz Brekker has always kept secrets. Careful to conceal anything about himself that may be seen as a weakness or used against him. His past, his secondary gender and the strange abilities that he has had since he was a child. Hidden from his few friends and spoken only of with his now dead brother.
Disregarding his brother's long-ago warnings of avoiding Grisha, and Ravka for fear of them discovering Kaz's abilities, Kaz accepts one of his highest paying jobs yet to collect a supposed Sun Summoner. A choice he is coming to regret as his secrets start to feel like a bomb just waiting to go off as the Dark General himself takes an interest in Kaz.
