Or, Yue Qingyuan is hit over the head with the realization that he could ask Shen Qingqiu to marry him, Shen Qingqiu's suspicious mind cannot make sense of the sequence of events. Yue Qingyuan would never, would he? What is this, mind control??? (it's happiness, but neither of them has ever felt it before).

For Shen Jiu good end festa, 13th may prompt: A helping of your fluffiest modern au. Which, for me, is this thing loosely based on The Birdcage/La Cage aux Folles (summarised in the author's note, but you'll prob be fine not knowing it).
Narrated by Qi Qingqi, Shen Jiu is notably absent for large portions of it, but trust me, he is very happy running a gay nightclub with Yue Qi, even if one of his 2,5 children is a dumbass who inherited his non-biological father's inability to communicate.
