It all comes out of him in a word-vomit that he sees his attending struggle to follow, but he can’t stop himself.
“Whitaker.” Robby settles a large, warm hand on his shoulder and it quiets the raging panic in Dennis’ head just enough for him to get a couple words in.
“I’ll talk to Dana, okay? Go home, we’ll sort this out.”

Or, Robby takes PTO on the recommendation of his therapist, and Dennis gets news that his dad is dying, so they take a road trip from Pittsburgh to Nebraska and it all goes as normally as it can.
