Summary
“You shouldn’t be here, either. He’s an asshole, he’s not even—”
“Why do you care?" Buck interrupts him, raising his tone, “It’s not like I’m gonna marry him!”
“I sure hope not!” Eddie replies loudly, offended, then, thinks to himself, you’re gonna marry me.
(Or, Buck decides to date again. Unsurprisingly, Eddie crashes out and sort of steals someone’s identity in the process. It goes better than expected… Truly.)

Summary
“Every time I close my eyes… I’m trapped, and I can’t get out,” Eddie confesses, quietly.
Buck nods, face incredibly sad, he seems to think for a second, “You should let me come home with you.”
“Huh?”
“So when you open your eyes, I’ll be there,” he explains. Just like that, like it’s easy, like—
(Or, Eddie is struggling after the well collapse. Cue to, his best friend Buck having his back, as always.)

Summary
“Bye, Eddie,” Buck says quickly, fluttering his lashes innocently at him, he smiles widely at glare he’s getting, and adds, “I love you.”
Eddie rolls his eyes, “Asshole,” he replies, his face blushed bright red.
(Or, Buck finds out that Eddie gets all flustered when someone tells him they love him. Naturally, Buck needs to tell him all the time now. It’s purely platonic, leave him alone.)

“Hey Eddie! What are you—Oh!” Buck pauses, acts as if he just saw the girl, “Hi there… Uh, you know, he’s gay,” he adds, wincing apologetically.
“Buck, what the—”
“Taken, too. Come on, babe,” Buck says, grabbing his arm and guiding him away.
(Or, Buck knows his best friend is straight, of course, he doesn’t really want to be ditched on their night out, though, which means he needs to bring out the big guns.)
