at first, all lottie can see is the blood. it's dripping down her face, through her clothes, and god, what if there's a bite in there somewhere? what if nat is bitten and now lottie has to watch her turn, or worse- she has to abandon her, just like she abandoned-
"hi, lottie," she croaks, before pitching forward, and lottie catches her.
