The first time he saw the boy, Yoo Jooghyuk was on the balcony, leaning against the handrail with a cigarette between two of his fingers. He could make out the bored, almost irritated expression on a man’s face as he opened a car’s trunk and took out two boxes, carrying them inside the apartment building that was right opposite from Yoo Joonghyuk’s. Next to the car there was a boy standing still, looking blankly into the distance until a woman that bore some resemblance finished her phone call and told him something, point at which the child’s head lowered towards the ground.
Yoo Joonghyuk’s eyes lingered on the child’s frame, thin and wrapped in gauze, before crushing the cigarette in a glass ashtray and going back inside. It wasn't any of his business.

In movies, this was usually the moment where the actor would start crying. Unexpectedly, Kim Dokja wasn’t sure whether he was sad, angry, or disappointed. There was something missing altogether where those feelings should’ve been, and so he simply sat on the park’s bench while the sky darkened and air got colder, with a backpack on his back and a box between his arms. His legs that didn’t reach the ground swinged softly back and forth, eyes blankly watching those movements.
‘Maybe I’m already dead.’ He thought, closer to a conclusion than a question, when there were still no tears or other sorts of emotions bursting out of him.
What made someone ‘alive’ anyway? Their feelings? The changes they left in the world? Kim Dokja couldn’t remember anything of the sort; at least nothing of any significance. Perhaps the only time his existence really meant anything was when he was being beaten by his bullies on a daily basis—he served as entertainment for someone, didn’t he? Except for being a punching bag, what was he? A ghost walking around aimlessly, one that strangers whispered rumors about and relatives got haunted by until they managed to get rid of him for good.

As for his brother, Han Yoohyun has gone well out of his way to make his intentions obvious. Hell, there is no way Yoojin can pretend it is anything else—not after feeling that passion firsthand.
It is impossible for him to ignore what he has always wanted.
Han Yoojin regresses to a new world, reunites with his brother, and has certain realizations.
